The Second Graders have begun writing their annual pen pal project. The students write to grandparents or community members four to five times a year. Pen pals respond by sending a letter back. The students are excited to receive their letters and enjoy sharing what their pen pals have written with their friends. The project ends with a social at the end of the school year and the last letters are delivered in person. The students gain knowledge in letter writing and addressing envelopes. It is an exciting time for all. The photos shown are the students opening up their first letters.
