A little about Artbeet.....
Each year, March is designated Youth Art Month by the National Art Education Association (NAEA) when the creativity and talent of young people is honored in schools and communities throughout the country. This March, ArtBeet will be collaborating with local artists, educators, and venues to bring YAM25, Kewaunee County’s fourth annual month-long celebration of the young creators and artists who live in our communities. Workshops and classes will be offered to youth and their families throughout the entire month.
Starting off the month, March 7th, creative works of students from Algoma, Kewaunee, and Luxemburg-Casco high schools will be on display for First Friday Art in various Algoma galleries and businesses. A list of participating locations and a map can be found on our website: https://www.artbeet.org/
.These works will be on display for the entire month of March. Guest artists Jill and James Iverson and Raina St. John will jury the creative works. Prizes will be awarded and one scholarship for a student artist per school will be presented this spring.
