The Kewaunee School District approved Mr. Aaron Dobbe as the new Kewaunee High School Principal for the 2023-24 school year. Mr. Dobbe graduated from UW-Stevens Point, after graduation he began his career substitute teaching in the central Wisconsin area. Mr. Dobbe comes to Kewaunee High School with 21 years of experience in education as a teacher, coach and administrator. In 2004, he started teaching at Tigerton School District. In 2009, Mr. Dobbe returned to his alma mater to teach at the Rosholt School District for six years, then he moved to Luxemburg in 2015 to teach at the Intermediate School. During this time, Mr. Dobbe earned his Masters of Arts in Education with a major in Educational Leadership from Marian University in 2016. In 2021, he accepted the position of Secondary School Principal at the Rosholt School District, and during the past two years as a high school principal, he has gained valuable experience in that role. At Rosholt, Mr. Dobbe has been instrumental in working to improve areas in curriculum development and instituting a positive culture throughout the school where all students can feel safe, have their voices heard, and they can be successful.
Mr. Dobbe has long had a passion for working with students, whether as an educator or a coach. He has coached middle school and high school students in multiple sports. He was the head coach at Tigerton for boy’s basketball and was head coach for softball at Rosholt. He has assisted in other programs as well, such as boys and girl’s basketball, baseball, and football. Coaching has helped him understand the nuances of working with students where high expectations and commitment are required while building a strong rapport with the students is the norm.
Mr. Dobbe and his wife, Rebecca, have two daughters, Abella (15) and Brielle (11), and reside in Luxemburg where Rebecca is the Director of Business Services at Luxemburg-Casco School District. He enjoys the outdoors on his family land in Sayner, WI, fishing, reading, and loves all Wisconsin sports.
